Abstract

The growing use of vegetable oils in food preparation and lack of knowledge of the problems that incorrect disposal causes to the environment, especially in water bodies and hence to man, makes necessary new concepts means to assist in public awareness for an appropriate destination based on the recycling of the waste vegetable oil to obtain new products. Using this oil as the saponification processes for the production of bar soap is a form of sustainability which has economic gains, social and particularly environmental. The manual way of soap manufacturing, makes the slow process and presents health risks due to exposure to chemicals harmful to man. This study aims to develop a safe and automated machine that streamline the process using cost values for the manufacture of a prototype checking its viability.
