Uma análise dos impactos da inovação tecnológica: um estudo de caso em uma indústria moveleira do sudoeste do Paraná

Abstract

The main objective of this work was to evaluate the technological advances and investments in innovation in a furniture industry in southwestern Paraná, evaluating the period of the last five years of business activity, the research instrument used for data collection was adapted from the form PINTEC - Technological Innovation Research, originally applied by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - IBGE. Thus, the research instrument was built and restructured according to the objectives of the work. Several authors mention that innovation can occur in different ways and at different levels, as in products, processes and even at organizational levels. Therefore, this work shows that there were several incremental innovations in both aspects mentioned, as well as how these innovations impacted within the company. The work seeks to assess the performance of innovations through a correlation between investments in innovation versus financial performance. As a result, the study showed that there is no direct relationship in this regard. In this sense, it became evident that there is a sum of other factors involved that can affect performance, among them: market activities, economic policies, among others.
