Relações interartes: análise da personagem Jessica Jones e outras vozes marginais na graphic novel e na narrativa audiovisual

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze how character Jessica Jones, from the audiovisual narrative Jessica Jones and the graphic novel Alias, update the role of the detective and of the super heroine within the detective genre and the heroic fictional universe, respectively. A theoretical basis about detective genre studies and a historical contextualization of the female figure is presented, as well as concepts such as interart and intermidiality. In sequence, the analysis builds on these theories. For this research, it was decided to analyze the transgression of that character and the insertion of other margins in the audiovisual narrative, without forgetting graphic novels. The theoretical basis mainly concerns the concepts of detective genre, interart, and intermidiality. Therefore, the objective of this work is also to understand how that character contributed to the updating of the female figure in contemporary times, in order to motivate future research on performances. The results have shown that the character, like the secondaries Luke Cage and Trish Walker, gain a voice within the works studied, since this updating of the portrait of the margins can contribute to reduce the inequality in the representation of minorities in the detective genre and in television adaptations.
