Abstract

This research was developed in a vehicles manufacturing in Curitiba and present the differentiated methodology for achievement of occupational noise evaluation and identify generating sources for help the manufacturing and logistics engineering in reduction process the noise in work environment. Presents the relation of production system evolution with the hygiene, health and physical integrity the employee, production system types the companies, basic concepts of sound and noise as well as the difference between them, the frequency and form of sound propagation, occupational noise definitions, including weighting factors to perform noise measurements, equipment used types for measurements and the effects of noise on the employee hearing aid. Explanations are given on the applicable Brazilian requirements, the NR-9 – Programa de Prevenção de Riscos Ambientais and NR-15 – Atividades e Operações Insalubres, and also the NBR 10151:2000 and NBR 10152:1987, as well as, applicable methodology and parameter and characteristics of software and equipment used. The steps for evaluation achievement are detailed, the method, and described the achievement sites as well as issuance of reports. Complemented by field research, the study found that the traditional noise measurements are insufficient to identify the sources that, the survey revealed that, while measurement, there should be as a form “Board Diary” with filling qualitative sources that are causing the risk in the workplace and then compare with the minute to minute report generated by software evaluation device for obtain the success. That being, the pointing qualitative sources generating simultaneously the noise measurement and analysis are essential to prioritize actions to noise reduce.
