O impacto do custo improdutivo dos equipamentos em obras de construção rodoviárias

Abstract

The lack of productivity of the equipment is an important item in the budgets of infrastructure works and can have significantly influence the cost of the same, although it is often underestimated by their managers. The aim of this study was to assess the real impact of unproductive cost of heavy equipment on the result of road works, through the lifting of the downtime of this equipment. The method used was the case study. Three works of asphalt pavements were analyzed: SP-270 highway in São Paulo, BR-392 highway in Rio Grande do Sul and BR-040 highway in Minas Gerais. Data collection was done by looking at the equipment hours of appropriation chips of tthe works and the results demonstrated an impact of 3.4%, 2.2% and 3.9% of the total revenue from them. These values are significant and may even compromise the economic equilibrium of the contracts. It attempted to also define the reasons for such lack productivity to assist project managers in their budgets and control of these costs during the performance of services.
