Análise do grau de maturidade da cultura da segurança do trabalho: estudo de caso

Abstract

The present study analyzed the degree of maturity of the work safety culture present in three large construction site in the civil construction sector in the city of Curitiba-PR. For the analysis, theories were studied and adapted where 5 aspects were defined to characterize the degree of maturity of the construction sites visited. After that the theories that differentiated the degrees of maturity in the sector were studied and adapted with those that presented greater impact and clarity in the author's view. After the analysis and adaptation, a questionnaire was developed with questions based on the existing literature on the subject and an interview with the collaborators of the three construction site. The questions aim to evaluate the previously mentioned aspects of the safety culture: Confidence, Lessons Learned, Commitment, Communication and Awareness. After the interviews, compilation of the answers and analysis of questions such as: low number of accidents recorded in relation to the size of the construction site, the efficiency in the communication and transfer of information between the employees and security technicians, the security programs and the continuous implantation of improvements, the company's concern with continuous training and the daily safety procedures, it was verified that these three construction site have a high degree of maturity of the work safety culture, characterized as Advanced by the author. However due to the small sampling of research and the group acting in several urban centers with different working teams and legislation, foreign constructions site, it is not possible to say that this is the degree of maturity of the work safety culture of the group as a whole.
