Teatro em escola de período estendido: a arte como processo de desenvolvimento cultural e cidadão

Abstract

This work had as its theme the theater in the education of extended period. All process was investigated on how are developed the theatrical workshops in the municipal schools of Paranavaí. Three teachers from three different municipal schools were interviewed through a questionnaire composed of eight questions. The idea is to know how these teachers can put into practice theatrical activities with children from 7 to 11 years of the 1st to 5th year. The intention is not to make judgments of the schools or the teachers who teach the workshops, but to understand how theater can be a transformative agent in the education of children. In this way, the students’ learning process was analyzed and if it is possible to achieve good results through the theater. One of the authors used in the bibliography of this work was the author and director of North American theater Viola Spolin, one of the main innovators of the theater in the education. In the book Theatrical Games for the classroom: a manual for the teacher was of extreme relevance for the development of this work, because in this book contains theatrical dynamics that can be concretized in the classroom as playful pedagogical practices. Other authors cited in this work were directly linked to a reflection on social and human formation through culture. The Greek culture also has a strong reflection of the social construction that is lived today, besides being the cradle of the birth of the theater.
