As implicações educativas do xadrez na perspectiva do ensino de ciências

Abstract

This research had as its theme the educational implications of chess from the perspective of science education as having overall objective to investigate the importance of teaching chess to assist in the teaching learning process methodology. Presented a combined theoretical-conceptual approach to the analysis of a practical outcome of the matter. Discussed the concepts, benefits and membership of chess to school subjects. Presented concepts that knowledge is an ongoing process and will continue for a lifetime. Complemented by field research conducted in the Escola Estadual São João demonstrating the achievements and developments of learning found in the School from the implementation of the Project Chess. This trend is evidenced by awards students obtained the municipal, state and national level and measured by SAEP – Sistema de Avaliação da Educação Básica do Paraná. As a result brings proof that chess is a strong ally to the intellectual and social development, when encouraged and supported by the teaching staff of the school.
