Proposta de aplicação do Kanban no setor de pesagem de matéria prima em uma indústria de alimentos

Abstract

The present study aims to describe a proposal of application of the Kanban system in the raw material weighing section of a cookie line in a Food Industry. The company has a weekly production plan, prepared by the Production Planning and Control department, which is also responsible for issuing Production and Summarized Orders (report of raw material items and packaging used in the process). Currently, the company does not have a system that controls the process of weighing raw material to supply the production line studied. The Kanban System has the function of support the site organization and come up with a better way to guide the employee. It is a branch of the Toyota production system, and proposes the use of identification cards to carry out the handling, supply and control operations. In the proposed study, it was observed that an improvement can be obtained in the work carried out in the weighing department of the raw materials used in a cookie line, achieving a better utilization of working time and a more efficient handling of the materials, without excess stock.
