Abstract: The objective of the present study was to identify possibilities for the development of a municipal garden in a primary school, located in the city of Selbach - RS. In the second stage, through conversations with the members of the school (if there were any projects involving gardening, what difficulties were encountered in teaching and also with regard to space and the environment and their ecological relations). After the annotations, an analysis of the information was carried out and a synthesis was given regarding the development of a garden in the municipal school, through the 20 elements that environmental education programs provide in terms of work generation and the diffusion of knowledge, created by Escrivão and Nagano (2011).
