Abstract: | With the pandemic came isolation and the impossibility of face-to-face classes, making students and teachers cling to digital solutions, accelerating the digitization of teaching and learning processes, with the use of online activities; among them, the increase in the use of educational games. However, teachers have found it difficult to find pedagogical games suitable for the classroom and the age group of the students. In this context, the present work developed the design of a pedagogical game, which was suitable for the classroom and articulated to the textbook used by the teacher. Thus, we initially carried out a bibliographic research on games, game design (DG), instructional design (DI), textbooks (LD) and the mathematics teaching laboratory (LEM). Next, we carried out an analysis of the games that already exist in the university’s LEM, in order to understand the essential elements that define a pedagogical game. Then, using this collected information, we developed the design of a pedagogical game for teaching mathematics in the 7th year of Elementary School - Final Years, articulated with the textbook used in a public school in Marechal Cândido Rondon. Thus, we hope that this game can contribute to greater student engagement in mathematics learning. |
