Atendimento humanizado a crianças vítimas de abuso sexual

Abstract

Harassment and child sexual abuse are matters of complicated discussion that, however, constitute serious and recurrent problems worldwide. These situations include any types of contact of a sexual nature directed at the child. Health professionals are often the first to have contact with these children in a position to interfere with the condition of abuse. It is therefore necessary that they are aware of how to proceed in this type of situation for effective intervention. In this way, the objective of this dissertation is to verify how to improve the reception/assistance to victims of child sexual abuse (ASI). The research was carried out at the University Hospital - Maternity and Youth (HUMAI-UEPG) in Ponta Grossa-Paraná with 6 professionals (pharmacist, doctor, nurse, social worker, psychologist and occupational therapist) belonging to the multidisciplinary team, for 12 hours in the year 2022. These professionals were responsible for welcoming and caring for child victims taken to the emergency department of this hospital. This is an applied research with a qualitative approach, in the form of a case study. Data collection took place through a seminar and a questionnaire on Google Forms. The results show that the study meetings with the professionals participating in the research were very important, in which it was sought to raise the difficulties, to bring theoretical foundations both in the specific question and in the legislation that regulates the assistance to the victim of ASI. This made it possible for professionals from different specialties to discuss the difficulties and shortcomings of this type of care together. During the study meetings, it was possible to perceive that the existing protocol was very simplified, giving room for different types of actions and interpretations, without standardization and often without articulation between the different specialties involved in the welcoming process. child victim of ASI. Thus, during the meetings with the multidisciplinary team, the study evidenced the need to improve the existing protocol in 2018. In the development of the new protocol together with the multidisciplinary team, an attempt was made to detail and establish norms and provide guidelines regarding the procedure to be adopted by each professional of the multidisciplinary team, also contemplating guidelines for the care not only of victims of sexual violence, but of any form of violence, demonstrating once again the beneficial action of the elaboration of protocols in the minimization of traumas and re-victimization of the children in the attendance, which is the main objective to be reached with regard to the humanization of the attendance of those who suffered sexual violence. The protocol product of this research was used as a pilot study in the year 2022 by HUMAI. In 2023 with the new administration that added new services such as maternity, pediatric and neonatal intensive care unit and the protocol served as a parameter for the protocol that is being effectively implemented in HUMAI aiming at a more humanized ASI.
